What and Why
We are partnering with Ventura County Handweavers and Spinners Guild to learn how to turn our raw wool into handicrafts. Students will card, spin, and dye (using natural and homemade dyes) our wool to make their own yarn, which will then be used to create weavings (or kept for their own knitting/crocheting projects). Since this is our first experience with this process, we will be working with a select group of 3rd-8th graders. We are still determining the schedule, but we expect this to begin in January and to take place on Thursdays after school. If your child is interested, please apply using the link below by Friday, January 10.
